Down, down, down by Harris Baigrie
This advenutre started when Mum decided to go to Groovy Gecko tours in Dalat, Vietnam just to have a look. Dad and I found ourselves interested in the abseiling and canyoning tour and we decided to book a tour for the next day.
At 9am the minivan came to pick us up and drove us to the mountain. There were 5 tourists and 4 guides – I was the only kid! First they put harnesses and helmets on us for abseiling and we walked down a steep slope with loose gravel and pine needles to get to the waterslide and the places for abseiling.
Our first activity was a practice abseil with a 75 degree slope. My second and third abseils were more challenging.
I had a great day with my Dad and give it 9 out of 10. I felt tired after all that canyoning but I would do it again.
Wow Harris,
You are a real thrill seeker! What a lot of fun.
Hi Harris – looks like cool fun. Pity you don’t get to wear the ice-cream container hat everyday! The water rapid photo looks scary. Did you get worried about getting washed away? I can’t imagine going down head first!
Take care kiddo.
Love Auntie Simone
Hope you’re having fun. You have NO IDEA how extremely jealous I am. The absailing, watersliding and lagoon-jumping look awesome. I’ve been thinking about you EVERY DAY and i’m honestly not kidding. Have you been to Legoland yet? Was it fun? What was your favourite place? Best buds 4eva
You amaze us Harris. What achievements you doing! You must be learning so much about doing things and about all the world. You’re one very lcky boy to have a mum and dad to be able to afford to give you all those special life time experiences while you’re still so young.
Love You All, G’pa and G’ma.
