One week left!
This week we feel like we are in practice for the 12 months ahead with living out of one bag each; sitting in a car for many long drives and swapping beds frequently. We have stayed with my parents, Steve’s parents, a motel and friends. We have eaten a lot of take away food for lunch and dinner but also been very well fed at our ‘homestays!’
A big thank you to Mick and Laani for their amazing hospitality. For Steve and I it has been our ‘first home’ for the last couple of weeks and we have enjoyed every minute. Thanks to Toby for the big grin and farewell hug. Jake/Spiderman/Buzz/Superman declined the hug offer.
The boys got to go to their school on the first day to visit their friends and say hello and goodbye. Steve and I also caught up with many of our friends at the same time. We spent a lovely 2 days with Steve’s parents so they could cash in their Christmas gift vouchers we gave them, which included dinner out with us; a golf game with Steve and a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law shopping expedition. Steve and I had to return to Toowoomba for work whilst the boys had a wonderful week hanging out with their grandparents.
Friday 28th January was my last day at work! Yippee! Really looking forward to the break. Wierd to be having 12 months off work and it doesn’t involve maternity leave! Will I miss work? No.
Will we miss you at work? Yes.
